It's been fun getting furnishings and pretty touches. I want to get a couple area rugs to soften the look. I like the plants you have. They add so much to a room.

I chose the same color, for the kitchen in our Italian home to showcase the travertino fireplace, which is around 500 years old and original, and the 30 year previously updated kitchen, tile floors , woodwork and marble counters.(we have a lot going on in our crazy, eclectic, but "we hope to stay here forever, rental house kitchen). I love this color. It is subtle and splendid, and I have no doubt you will too.
Wow, that's amazing that you also painted Cinder Rose for a similar old/new space! It was tricky to choose the right shade of pink for us, but this seems to be a winner. I guess you could have saved me time ;)
Nah- it was tricky for me too-I am sure we both like coming to our own conclusion. I was just surprised because I thought I was the only one with this unusual dusty rose kitchen!!♥️
Hi, Rosemary! Yes, I do find myself reaching for the wrong drawers in our new house. There are SO many drawers in the kitchen that it's easy to get confused, haha. It will become habitual in time, of course. You have also been in your home for a month; funny how things can coincide.
I have made two sets of patchwork curtains - a voile Anna Maria set and a Kismet set. I sold the Kismet set with the old house. The buyers wanted it! The voile set I still have and consider making use of in my sewing room. I mostly got rid of the covered dining chairs, because the wood was no longe in the best condition. I kept the best one, which has found a place in the guest room.

I chose the white cabinets, and I have a medium grey island.
We have been in our house a month.
Do you find yourself reaching for a drawer for something and then remember it is sorted
differently. I used to have silverware on the island in my old house but here I chose to use a big drawer across. haha
I love the big windows around the back patio.
You have a really cool house.
I hope end of summer sales will fetch me a big outdoor rug for my back screened in porch.
It is fun to spend a few hours each day sorting through our treasures and finding the perfect spot.
