I love where you're going with this design, keep going! The stems make a great secondary pattern. I wonder what it would look like if you put four stems together, with the blocks facing outward? (Hint, hint, heehee)

I just love the combination of analogous colored leaves and scrappy leaves. Such a great look

I love your second idea, to make each leaf a focused color, reminds me of real leaves, but without being too realistic… I love this pattern and your color ideas, making something a little realistic but also playful…

Thanks, Pam. You're right - it's both realistic and super playful. I think of the secondary blocks in the pattern as "sunshine" and "breeze". =)

Ohhhhh nice.

These blocks are beautiful little gems and I like the tumbling layout of your wall.

Excellent!

I love these! The quilt will be so beautiful. Are you starting with 2 1/2” squares for the HST?

Hi Rachel, can you please tell me what yardage I will require for the background? Approximately? Thanks!!

Rachel LaBour's avatar

Yes, I have that info now. The background is 4 yards of fabric, while the accent fabric is 2/3 yards.
