I'm gnashing my teeth that I have to be out of town (and away from all sewing tools) for four weeks but I have purchased the pattern and will use all accumulated inspiration to get started in early November.
I have started going through my scraps but still haven't made a decision about the accent color. My background is going to be a light brown and the leaves are going to be shared of red, orange, yellow and light green. Leaning towards blue for the accent but haven't been able to decide on a shade, light or dark.
Ooh that's a hard one without seeing it. I wonder if blue would be too different from the leaf colors? I am so curious to see all the clever new versions that will be in process soon. That gives a lot of ideas!
I just hope I can keep up. It is weird having my sewing space upstairs now..... I might sneak a table down here with a featherweight so I can keep up the pace while making dinner and watching late night murder tv (british stuff mostly).
I went to my local quilts fabric shop and she gave me the sage green at a old people discount..... but then... Hawthorn Threads has the confetti cottons on sale....!!! So I know I will make another quilt in the future with one of those blues... BLUE just sounds super pretty
Is it possible to share phots in the comments? I would like to see what other are working on and I also need help picking out a fabric for the leaf stems. I made up 4 different options and I'm having a hard time deciding what I think would look the best and would love some input from the group.
