Onward indeed Rachel. This quilt is going to be another beauty. You made a pretty design and it's perfect for these farics.

Thanks, Lea. I hope to sew some more blocks today.

very pretty super bold colors. You work well with them.

I am interested in the second row, will you line up the blocks or stagger them.

So many ideas!!

Rachel LaBour's avatar

I like both ideas, but I think I will stagger them. I need to make more blocks and see what it looks like!

Beautiful collection of prints.

I do like the vibe you're going for and look forward to seeing the blocks come together. I like bigger area (in the block) for the bigger prints of fabric. Nice!

Thanks, Kimberly. I also plan on making a few double-wide blocks, which will be handy for the bigger prints.

You’re off to a good start! What’s next? :))

Oh my, the bluey snowball corners are going make her fabrics shine! Perfect to show her colors and designs. What a perfect design you created. Will you use blues throughout?

Rachel LaBour's avatar

Thanks Cindy. Yes, I plan to use only blues throughout. Since the blues range in color they have a bit of texture. I've only made the two blocks so far though. I'm curious what it looks like with a group of blocks.

I really like where this is going. Good choice. What size are your blocks? Can you guess; I am thinking that I have a fabric set with a bigger print that I would like to showcase. Thanks for your inspiration.

The rectangles are cut 4.5" x 10.5". Once you add the snowball corners, they look so much smaller. =)

I’m guessing blocks are cut about 4 x 8 inches maybe, plus seam allowance?
