Thanks so much for this detailed illustration. I have done something similar before but it helps to SEE the process.

As I said before, I just love this quilt! I’ve always wanted to make a log cabin quilt but they’re all so “ normal”. This one speaks to me!!

Clear and makes complete sense. Without your instructions this is exactly what I think I would work out to do in a similar "dilemma". Thanks for detailing it so well. I'm going to love this quilt! Blue is my favorite color, I love log cabin blocks, and this one will be so different with the great variety of blocks. Can't wait to see the finish!

Thank you for this helpful walk-through, Rachel. (I made your POSITIVITIES a couple of years ago, and when someone asks who will be the recipient of that striking project, I say, Me! I can’t bear to give that one away. )

There’s always favorite blocks in something Iike this but it’s probably all the ones around them that make them stand out…. I enjoy the 2 top right corner blocks on top of each other probably because of the low volume prints, but the stand out for me is the top center block with the irregular log cabin layout with the dark solid blue…. This is really a cool quilt, and its motivating me to get back to my quilting, which I’ve taken a long break from due to some painting classes, and need for a good cleanup in the sewing room… thanks for sharing

I love your insights! So interesting how you put this together. And what helped that will be in future improvs.

Thank you Rachel. The process of joining irregular sized pieces is overwhelming to me, so I appreciate how you break it down into bite size pieces. Thanks for sharing your method.

The jigsaw of blocks are coming together very nicely. :))
