This is a beautiful block, Rachel. It is going to make an incredible quilt with so much beautiful color. Whoever has it in the end is sure to be happy with it.

I love all your quilts! I have tons of fabric yardage but no scraps. How much should I cut off my yards to start scraps? Thanks!

What an interesting quandary! I suppose if I wanted to make scraps, I might cut 5" width of fabric strips. That would give me a lot of fabric to work with. Usually though, I would just suggest that you cut the right width of fabric for the quilt you want to make, even if you are cutting from yardage. So, for example, if you were sewing a Parsnips quilt, I would suggest cutting 3" strips, as that would help you cut the shapes for that quilt. I hope that you start cutting and enjoying your fabric!

Thank you so much for answering. I was thinking I might go 10" as I have a lot. Then cut it down. But I really like your answer of 5". I have a lot of old cotton and steel and AMH. I love the way you do your colors and I studied color theory for 3 years as an Interior Designer so I know! Thanks! Eve
