I love the idea and would love to join in, but really have too much happening just now. I will keep this in mind and when the "in-tray" is less full I'll have a go.

Inspired by your new log cabin and momentarily without a quilt to handsew binding or any big-stitch project to quilt, I have been pawing through scraps and hand-sewing some log cabin blocks at night. I have no idea where these blocks are going at the moment. But, it's fun.

That sounds lovely, Louisa. Keep enjoying yourself! You are reminding me that when the dust settles on my move, I really should get back to hand sewing to relax in the evenings. It's just the thing for these dark days of winter.

these blocks are cute. I love the sweet color scheme. This is going to be a sparky happy quilt

I have boxes and boxes of scraps, rumpled and I do believe they multiply because

there is no other explanation--- boxes Rachel. And speaking of.... are you firmly moved in? Has the move been a long distance (which is tiring) Oh my, oh my. I am sure there will be room for everything but the unpacking is not an exciting project.... unless it is fabric in the mail.

Our house has been delayed, and I am not upset at all about it. Fortunately we can live in our crumbling big house until April, but the down sizing thing is just arduous!! - so in that case I am kind of relieved to have news of a delay. My new house is 5 miles away so I am watching the progress, and I have met many neighbors.... they are really great and they like me! Taking care of my very old parents for 11 years life changes everything. Winter is a good time on those cold soggy days to get some unpacking done... oooh but tramping around in boots is fun too.
