Ohh my goodness, what a lovely idea for a beautiful new quilt. Does it feel like something that has potential for becoming a pattern? If so, I suspect I'm not the only one who would be interested in making my own version.

I had the same thought. As I was reading, I was hoping it might be a spin-off for Tapestry Garden, but I completely understand why it's too complex for that. Perhaps you could even write a pattern โ€œlite" that would give some general guidelines but not exact measurements.

This is going to be a gorgeous quilt and I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops!

This sounds like a great start, I especially like a background in colorwash style. I'll be follwing!๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Wow - I want to do it! I would make this one - love the different size blocks and abstractness (is that a word?) of the pattern, and of course the flowers.

Love this block. Thanks for the reminder that I want to get this done - as coneflowers of different colors and shades (there are so many colors of coneflowers these days). Too many projects going presently, but need to get this on my list so I get to it. Love your idea for the new quilt.

I can't wait to see how this turns out! The purple/yellow color scheme is a favorite of mine.
