I have fond memories of making projects with my mother during the summer holidays as she was a teacher. An example is learning embroidery stitches and decorating a denim shirt….the rage of the seventies. She will remember this forever.
I hope she does remember it and have good memories. It is tricky how that works. Sometimes humans don't remember the nice times as much as one would hope.
Such a sweet project you and Elora made together…making new memories using special items from the past is the best! Elora is growing up so fast! She looks so much like Liam!🌷
Yay Elora, a beautiful decoration made from her precious gift, so many years ago. What a lovely memory. Elora looks so big now, just like my grand girls are growing like weeds too!!! I do love that but somehow I am not that happy about the effects on ME. haha just kidding
It has been super cold here too in Northern Virginia. No signs of the 120 tulips I planted in my gardens in memory of my parents, but it will be soon.
When your tulips come up, it will be glorious! I have been corrected - crocuses are in fact, in bloom here. I just hadn't seen them yet. But I see today across from my work window what looks like flowers coming up on the grass! Spring is coming.
A perfect project for the February hols. In Spain it’s called semana blanca (white week!! In Uk just half term. I too miss those days of our children being young and the holidays stretching out full of fun. Rose coloured glasses I’m sure as there must have been fraught days!! Elora looks very pleased with her creation and rightly so.
Aww, Elora is losing her little girl look. What a sweet project for her room. I love small projects once in a while They give a sense of accomplishment among all the large quilts.
What a beautiful daughter 💕
What a nice project to work on together with sweet memories attached. This turned out cute and of course the fabric is pretty.
Thanks, Lea.
She is a darling little girl. I love the wreath.

They do indeed! I couldn't believe that we were finished in about an hour, haha. It was nice.
Lovely! I can't think of a better place to grow up than the Netherlands. So many happy kids in our neighborhood with so much independence.
She's adorable and so is her wreath! Fun for both of you.
She's growing up so fast! She looks so sweet and the wreath is gorgeous!!
Beautiful, both your daughter and her flower wreath project.
