I really love this and am totally going to join. I haven't done a Sew-Along very often because I don't love most match-matchy quilt patterns. Show me a scrappy pattern and I swoon!! I'm glad to hear that you will be joining in, Elana! I'm also particularly partial to scrap quilts. =). The longest strip strictly required is 9.5". However, for the borders it is convenient to have strips around 15" or multiple shorter strips of the same fabric.
